Updates, Inquiries & New Investigative Piece

Dear Subscribers,

I've been hard at work on an investigative piece, begun 8 months ago, about the extent to which gender ideology has corrupted family courts. I will post it here within the next week.  I think you'll find it fascinating and harrowing.

I’m also hard at work on a new book.  I'm excited to announce details here, as soon as I get the OK from my wonderful literary agent, Keith Urbahn.

If your kid has ever been given a diagnosis or been in therapy, if you've ever hired experts (OT, ABA Behaviorist, child psychologists, psychiatrists, etc) and felt either that they were a great help to you or believed they were doing more harm than good, please reach out.  And if you are a child mental health expert yourself and have thoughts on how your profession is helping or hurting kids, I'd love to hear from you:  philosophicalinvestigations@protonmail.com

Thank you, again, for all of your support.  It's a crazy world out there.

Wishing all my readers a restful weekend.
xo,

A

One of the biggest tragedies of the past two decades has been and is the medicating of children with psy hiatric drugs. Many prescribed off label. Many of those children are on multiple psychiatric drugs. Trials were never done on children. There haven't been studies on the long term effects of children taking multiple psychiatric drugs. Children who have public health insurance are prescribed psychiatric drugs at a higher rate than the general population of children. Children in foster care are prescribed psychiatric drugs at an even higher rate. Children who have been abused and/or neglected already feel stigmatized. The message they receive when prescribed psychiatric drugs is that there is something inherently wrong with them rather than the reality that some bad things happened to them.

This is an area well worth researching.
