One of the biggest tragedies of the past two decades has been and is the medicating of children with psy hiatric drugs. Many prescribed off label. Many of those children are on multiple psychiatric drugs. Trials were never done on children. There haven't been studies on the long term effects of children taking multiple psychiatric drugs. Children who have public health insurance are prescribed psychiatric drugs at a higher rate than the general population of children. Children in foster care are prescribed psychiatric drugs at an even higher rate. Children who have been abused and/or neglected already feel stigmatized. The message they receive when prescribed psychiatric drugs is that there is something inherently wrong with them rather than the reality that some bad things happened to them.
I used to work as a children's performing arts therapist alongside some of the types of professions you mention. I will drop you a couple of stories, and also I have a professor I suggest you get in touch with.
Please take all the time you need to do your investigations in the best way possible. We will support you. Your work is indispensable to America's current moment.
Thank you all so much for your comments. And, I keep hearing "gantlet" not "gauntlet." The dictionary suggests that "gauntlet" is now an alternative spelling of "gantlet." Am I just wrong?
Your book, Irreversible Damage, was the first book I ever read on transgender dysphoria. Never before I felt the desire to read anything on the topic. Then I saw you on Tucker Carlson Tonight, where you talked about your book, and I downloaded right away. Thank you for being so brave putting out a book that was so controversial, but well worth it. It opened my eyes about things I could never have imagined happening to young kids, and the devastation that is causing in our society. Thank you!
I have been exposing the social agendas in psychiatry since 2005. From my site MiriamGrossmanMD.com:
I examine the social agendas that permeate my profession, and how they harm society, especially women. My focus is on sex education and reproductive health: sexually transmitted infections, high risk behaviors, contraception, fertility, and abortion. I also describe my profession’s flawed approach to gender and same-sex attraction, and its denial of the importance of faith to wellness.
The institutionalized approach to these subjects is misinformed and outdated. As a result, young lives are endangered. That’s a serious accusation, to be sure, but I make it after years of practice, research, and careful deliberation.
My mission is to expose this fiasco, hold those responsible for it accountable, and provide educational material that is based on hard science and common sense. If you are a young adult, parent, grandparent, teacher, health provider, psychotherapist, sex educator, women’s health advocate, gender activist, or policy maker, you want to hear what I have to say.
Looking forward to your next piece. The diagnosing and medicating of children, and the damage inflicted on developing brains was the precursor to warm us up for the gender craze. First it was (mostly) boys, now the girls are the main target, with adults making $ off the backs of children. Keep up the great work!
I can just imagine. Child custody is already fraught. I have two sisters who went through this with abusive husbands -- having come through the fire, broken, both sisters decided custody issues need to be in Criminal Court not Family Court. I think they have a point. But adding gender identity fuel to the fire, what a mess. The poor children. And parents too.
I’m beyond grateful for the work you are doing! Please keep it up! Your work is absolutely vital for our children, our families, our future.

This is an area well worth researching.

I am excited to hear you're working on a new book!
Hooray!
שבת שלום, eager to see your latest research.

Thanks for standing up- you work is helping turn the tide of stupidity
Sincerely, incredibly grateful for your work, deeply so. It's going to change the world for the better!
So brave Abigail. Love you!
Thank you for exposing this social contagion. It is criminal what is happening to teen girls in our culture.
